Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including oral surgeries, crown placements, and restorative work
- Prepare and sterilize instruments while maintaining OSHA compliance protocols
- Take accurate dental impressions and process radiographs (X-rays)
- Manage patient records using Eaglesoft practice management software
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide under dentist supervision
- Provide chairside assistance and patient education on oral hygiene
Qualifications
- Current North Carolina Dental Assistant Radiology certification
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- CPR/BLS certification from Red Cross or AHA
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software
- Excellent communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
