Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, endodontic, and surgical treatments
- Perform chairside duties: instrument transfer, suction, and patient comfort management
- Take and develop accurate dental radiographs (X-rays) with digital imaging systems
- Manage infection control protocols: sterilize instruments, maintain operatory sterility
- Execute digital charting and patient records management using Eaglesoft software
- Prepare treatment rooms, materials, and equipment for efficient patient flow
- Deliver post-operative instructions and educate patients on oral hygiene techniques
Qualifications
- Accredited dental assisting program certification or equivalent experience
- Current DANB Radiology Health and Safety (RHS) certification
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency with digital radiography and practice management software
- Excellent dexterity for handling instruments and small equipment
- Strong communication skills for patient education and team collaboration
- Ability to maintain composure during emergency procedures
- Valid CPR certification and willingness to pursue advanced certifications
