Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist dentists during procedures
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays) and ensure proper infection control protocols
- Manage dental instruments, equipment sterilization, and inventory
- Perform chairside assistance during restorative and surgical procedures
- Document patient information and maintain electronic health records
- Provide post-operative instructions and patient education
- Assist with front desk duties including scheduling and billing when needed
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification or radiology license in Massachusetts
- Minimum 2 years of clinical dental assisting experience
- Proficiency in dental software (Dentrix/Eaglesoft preferred)
- CPR certification and knowledge of OSHA/HIPAA compliance
- Strong communication skills and ability to put patients at ease
- Detail-oriented with excellent manual dexterity
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent required
