Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, orthodontic, and surgical treatments
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following OSHA protocols
- Take and develop dental radiographs with precision and care
- Manage patient records using Eaglesoft practice management software
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide oxide monitoring under supervision
- Provide chairside support during procedures and ensure patient comfort
- Manage inventory of dental supplies and order materials as needed
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Radiology License required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in a fast-paced dental practice
- Proficiency in digital radiography (X-rays) and intraoral cameras
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and sterilization procedures
- Excellent communication skills and ability to put patients at ease
- Experience with Eaglesoft or similar practice management software
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a high-volume environment
- CPR certification and willingness to maintain continuing education
