Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, cosmetic, and surgical treatments
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments while maintaining strict infection control protocols
- Take and develop accurate dental radiographs (X-rays) and impressions
- Manage patient records and digital charting using Dentrix/Eaglesoft software
- Deliver exceptional patient education on oral hygiene and treatment plans
- Coordinate treatment schedules and ensure optimal clinic workflow efficiency
- Supervise dental hygiene procedures and assist with administrative tasks
Qualifications
- Kentucky Dental Assistant certification or DANB certification required
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and intraoral imaging systems
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA compliance standards
- Excellent chairside assisting skills for multi-quadrant procedures
- CPR/BLS certification and emergency response training
- Exceptional communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
