Responsibilities
- Prepare patients and exam rooms for dental procedures
- Assist dentists during treatments including restorative and surgical procedures
- Take and develop dental X-rays following safety protocols
- Maintain sterilization and inventory of dental instruments
- Manage patient records and digital charting systems
- Provide post-operative care instructions to patients
- Coordinate with front office staff for seamless patient flow
Qualifications
- Accredited Dental Assistant certification (CODA or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Proficiency with digital imaging software (DEXIS, Eaglesoft)
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and infection control standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
