Responsibilities
- Prepare patients and examination rooms for dental procedures
- Assist dentists during complex treatments including fillings, crowns, and extractions
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision
- Manage sterilization protocols and inventory control
- Provide post-operative instructions and patient education
- Coordinate scheduling and maintain patient records
- Assist with front desk duties when needed
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification or RDA license (NM state)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical dental assisting experience
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Spanish language proficiency highly preferred
