Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including crowns, bridges, and orthodontic adjustments
- Manage patient flow and ensure sterile instrument preparation per OSHA standards
- Perform digital radiography and intraoral imaging using Dexis software
- Execute infection control protocols and sterilize dental equipment
- Update patient charts in Eaglesoft EHR system
- Provide post-op instructions and manage recall systems
- Coordinate with insurance companies on pre-authorizations and claims
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification (DANB or state-recognized)
- Minimum 2 years of chairside experience in cosmetic/general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and Eaglesoft software
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and OSHA regulations
- CPR certification (BLS for Healthcare Providers)
- Exceptional communication skills for patient education
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
- Valid Florida radiography license
