Responsibilities
- Assist dentist during all clinical procedures including restorative, surgical, and orthodontic treatments
- Take and develop accurate dental radiographs (X-rays) following safety protocols
- Perform infection control procedures and sterilize dental instruments
- Manage patient records using our advanced dental software system
- Prepare treatment rooms, materials, and equipment for efficient workflow
- Provide post-operative instructions and educate patients on oral hygiene
- Coordinate scheduling and assist with front desk operations as needed
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification (DANB or state-recognized)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical dental assisting experience
- Proficiency in dental radiography techniques and safety standards
- Experience with practice management software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft)
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and OSHA standards
- Excellent communication skills and ability to put patients at ease
- Valid CPR certification
- High school diploma or equivalent required
