Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including exams, fillings, and extractions
- Take and develop dental radiographs with digital imaging systems
- Perform infection control protocols and sterilize instruments
- Manage patient records and chairside organization
- Take impressions for crowns and prosthetics
- Administer patient education on oral hygiene
- Coordinate treatment plans with front office staff
Qualifications
- Current New Mexico Dental Assistant certification required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- CPR certification (BLS for Healthcare Providers)
- Proficiency with Eaglesoft or similar dental software
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA compliance
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
