Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, orthodontic, and surgical cases
- Manage patient scheduling and digital charting using Dentrix software
- Sterilize instruments and maintain OSHA-compliant operatory setups
- Take dental radiographs and perform preliminary assessments
- Deliver patient education on oral hygiene and treatment plans
- Order inventory and manage supply chain logistics
- Train new assistants on clinic protocols and equipment
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification (DANB or state-recognized)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency with digital radiography and imaging systems
- CPR/BLS certification (current)
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
- Associates degree in Dental Assisting preferred
