Responsibilities
- Process and submit clean medical claims to insurance payers with 95% accuracy
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits for all insurance types
- Apply ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes to patient encounters
- Manage denial resolution and appeals within 5 business days
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations
- Generate monthly accounts receivable reports for leadership
- Collaborate with clinical teams to resolve billing discrepancies
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with insurance claim submission
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Proficiency in Epic, Athena, or NextGen EHR systems
- Expert knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
- Strong analytical skills with 95% claims accuracy track record
- Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer guidelines
- Ability to manage 50+ claims daily while meeting deadlines
