Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including exams, fillings, crowns, and extractions
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision and care
- Perform infection control protocols and sterilization of instruments/equipment
- Manage patient records and digital dental software (Epic experience preferred)
- Prepare treatment rooms and materials efficiently for optimal workflow
- Provide chairside support and comfort measures to anxious patients
- Execute inventory management and supply ordering protocols
Qualifications
- Current Indiana Dental Assistant License or DANB certification
- Minimum 2 years clinical dental assisting experience
- Proficiency in digital radiography and infection control procedures
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and instrumentation
- Exceptional interpersonal skills for patient communication
- CPR/BLS certification required (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent required
