Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, orthodontic, and surgical treatments
- Perform chairside assistance with suction, instrument transfer, and material preparation
- Execute digital X-rays and intraoral imaging following ALARA protocols
- Maintain strict sterilization protocols for all instruments and equipment
- Manage patient records using Dentrix/Eaglesoft software systems
- Oversee inventory control and ordering of dental supplies
- Deliver pre/post-operative instructions to patients with empathy
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or New York State RDA license required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general or cosmetic dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and infection control procedures
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy
- Excellent communication skills with diverse patient populations
- CPR/BLS certification (current)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environment
