Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including restorative, endodontic, and surgical treatments
- Take and develop digital dental X-rays with proper radiation safety protocols
- Manage patient flow and maintain efficient clinic operations
- Sterilize instruments and maintain OSHA-compliant infection control standards
- Administer local anesthetics and nitrous oxide monitoring (certified)
- Perform dental charting and update electronic health records
- Train new team members on clinic protocols and software systems
Qualifications
- Current California Dental Assistant (RDA) certification required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in Eaglesoft or Dentrix practice management software
- CPR/BLS certification from American Heart Association
- Strong knowledge of dental radiography and infection control
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and chairside manner
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Spanish language proficiency highly desirable
