Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including vital signs, EKGs, injections, and wound care
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring optimal sterility and equipment functionality
- Assist physicians with patient examinations and minor procedures
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems with precision and confidentiality
- Coordinate patient flow and schedule to minimize wait times
- Administer medications under physician supervision and monitor patient responses
- Handle laboratory specimens and point-of-care testing
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Current Pennsylvania Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a fast-paced healthcare setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance and medical documentation standards
- Excellent phlebotomy and venipuncture skills
- Exceptional interpersonal communication abilities
- Ability to multitask effectively in high-pressure situations
- Valid CPR/BLS certification
