Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, including vital sign measurement and medical history documentation
- Assist physicians during clinical procedures and examinations
- Perform basic laboratory tests and phlebotomy services
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems with precision and confidentiality
- Schedule patient appointments and maintain efficient clinic workflows
- Administer medications and injections under physician supervision
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Current and valid Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a medical office setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or experience preferred)
- Strong phlebotomy skills and venipuncture certification
- BLS/CPR certification from recognized provider
- Excellent communication skills and compassionate patient demeanor
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and medical confidentiality protocols
