Responsibilities
- Process and submit clean claims to insurance providers within 24-hour turnaround
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits using Epic EMR systems
- Resolve claim denials and underpayments through strategic appeals
- Conduct daily AR follow-up for aged accounts over 60 days
- Ensure HIPAA compliance in all billing documentation
- Collaborate with clinical teams to capture complete charge information
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with commercial payers
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC credential required
- Expertise in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding
- Proficient in NextGen or Epic EMR systems
- Strong analytical skills for complex claim resolution
- Excellent communication for payer negotiations
