Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stocking pharmaceutical supplies
- Maintain precise patient records and medication profiles in pharmacy software
- Provide medication counseling and answer patient inquiries professionally
- Ensure compliance with all federal and state pharmacy regulations
- Collaborate with healthcare team to optimize patient medication therapy
Qualifications
- Current New Mexico Pharmacy Technician license required
- Minimum 2 years of retail/hospital pharmacy experience
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification preferred
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., Omnicell, QS/1)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication handling
- Excellent communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
