Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage prescription inventory, including ordering, stocking, and rotation
- Process insurance claims and resolve billing discrepancies
- Provide exceptional patient counseling on medication usage and side effects
- Maintain compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations
- Operate pharmacy software systems for prescription processing
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Active California Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB or ExCPT certified)
- Minimum 2 years retail pharmacy experience
- Strong knowledge of prescription medications and drug interactions
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Rx30)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
- Basic math skills for compounding and dosing calculations
