Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care across multiple specialties including ICU, ER, and Med-Surg units
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physician orders with precision
- Monitor patient vitals, document clinical progress, and update electronic health records (EHR)
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement personalized care plans
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, medications, and discharge protocols
- Maintain strict compliance with JCAHO standards and hospital safety protocols
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice projects
Qualifications
- Active North Carolina RN license with no disciplinary actions
- BSN degree from accredited nursing program (ADN candidates with 3+ years experience considered)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS preferred
- Minimum 2 years acute care experience in hospital setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic experience strongly preferred)
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Excellent communication abilities with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
