Responsibilities
- Assess patient acuity using Emergency Severity Index (ESI) protocols
- Collaborate with physicians to prioritize patient care based on medical urgency
- Document detailed clinical assessments in Epic EHR system
- Provide clear discharge instructions and follow-up care coordination
- Maintain compliance with TJC and CMS regulations
- Participate in rapid response team activations
- Lead patient flow optimization initiatives
Qualifications
- CA RN license (required)
- Minimum 3 years emergency department experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications
- Expertise in ESI triage protocols
- Proficiency with electronic health records (Epic preferred)
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
- Spanish bilingual proficiency highly desirable
