Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during a variety of procedures, ensuring optimal patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare treatment rooms with instruments, materials, and equipment.
- Take and develop dental X-rays (Radiographs) as prescribed by the dentist.
- Ensure strict sterilization and disinfection protocols are followed for all instruments and equipment.
- Instruct patients on post-operative care and oral health hygiene.
- Manage patient records and update medical histories accurately.
- Perform chair-side assisting duties, including handing instruments and managing suction.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) in the state of California.
- Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Radiology.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a general dentistry setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients of all ages.
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform fine motor tasks with precision.
- Proficiency with dental software and electronic health records.
- Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation.
