Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including instrument preparation, suction, and patient comfort
- Perform sterilization and infection control protocols for all equipment
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays) and ensure proper documentation
- Manage patient flow, scheduling, and appointment coordination
- Prepare treatment rooms and maintain organized inventory
- Provide chairside assistance during restorative and cosmetic procedures
- Deliver post-procedure care instructions to patients
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant license in California (RDA preferred)
- X-ray certification and CPR/BLS certification
- 1+ years of clinical dental assisting experience
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and OSHA standards
- Excellent communication skills and patient demeanor
- Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings and weekends
- Familiarity with Eaglesoft or DentalWorks software
- High school diploma or equivalent required
