Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections following strict safety protocols
- Process and label specimens accurately for laboratory testing
- Verify patient identity and prepare samples for transport
- Maintain sterile equipment and work environments
- Provide patient education during blood draw procedures
- Document procedures and specimen data in electronic health records
- Collaborate with nursing and lab staff for seamless patient care
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in phlebotomy
- TB test and current immunization records required
- Strong interpersonal skills for patient interaction
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
