Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain a sterile environment in the operating room before and during procedures.
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and sterile supplies.
- Monitor patient vital signs and ensure all safety protocols are strictly followed.
- Handle and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment according to strict guidelines.
- Coordinate with the nursing team to ensure an efficient workflow during surgeries.
- Document patient information accurately in medical records.
- Respond immediately to surgeon requests during complex procedures.
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technician (CST) or equivalent certification required.
- Active Wisconsin Surgical Technologist license in good standing.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of operating room experience preferred.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certifications must be current.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate within a diverse medical team.
