Responsibilities
- Evaluate patient symptoms and medical history via phone to determine appropriate level of care.
- Assess urgency and prioritize calls for immediate medical attention or non-emergency scheduling.
- Provide clinical guidance and health education within your scope of practice.
- Document all patient interactions and care plans accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient transitions.
- Stay updated on current medical protocols, drug interactions, and treatment guidelines.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Michigan.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a triage or urgent care setting.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Proficient in computer systems and EHR documentation.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
