Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms via phone and in-person triage to determine urgency of care needs
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop appropriate care plans
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation in compliance with HIPAA
- Provide clear patient education on home care instructions and follow-up protocols
- Monitor patient flow and adjust scheduling to optimize department efficiency
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and emergency response protocols
Qualifications
- Active RN license in New Jersey
- Minimum 2 years emergency room or urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong assessment and decision-making skills in high-pressure situations
- Exceptional communication abilities across diverse populations
- Proficiency in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Ability to work independently with flexible scheduling
