Responsibilities
- Perform virtual patient intake via telehealth platforms and electronic health records (EHR)
- Assist in-clinic procedures including vital sign monitoring and specimen collection
- Coordinate patient education materials and care plans remotely
- Manage administrative tasks including scheduling and insurance verification
- Support infection control protocols in clinical environments
- Collaborate with healthcare teams via digital communication tools
- Maintain HIPAA compliance across all interactions
Qualifications
- Current California Medical Assistant Certification (CMA or RMA)
- 1+ years experience in clinical or telehealth settings
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic, Athenahealth preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification
- Strong communication skills for patient interactions
- Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings/weekends
- Comfortable with remote technology tools
- High school diploma or equivalent required
