Responsibilities
- Prepare and dispense prescription medications accurately and in a timely manner.
- Verify patient information, insurance details, and physician orders for accuracy.
- Provide excellent customer service and medication counseling to patients.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including receiving, stocking, and reordering supplies.
- Assist the Pharmacist with compounding and clinical support tasks.
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and state pharmacy laws.
- Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy environment.
Qualifications
- Current Pharmacy Technician Certification (PCTB/PTCB) is highly preferred.
- Valid California State Pharmacy Technician License required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Willingness to cross-train in different areas of the pharmacy.
