Responsibilities
- Provide personalized assistance with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, meal preparation, and medication management
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients through meaningful interactions and engagement
- Monitor client health status and report any changes to care coordinators promptly
- Transport clients to medical appointments and social activities using personal vehicle (mileage reimbursed)
- Maintain accurate care documentation and follow individualized care plans
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks to ensure safe and comfortable living environments
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional caregiving experience or equivalent training certification
- Valid New York State driver's license with clean driving record
- Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical care tasks
- Strong communication skills and compassionate approach to patient care
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout Erie County
- Passionate background check and drug screening required
