- Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits prior to service
- Resolve claim denials and billing discrepancies efficiently
- Maintain patient accounts and financial records using EHR systems
- Communicate with patients regarding outstanding balances and payment options
- Stay updated on CPT/ICD-10 coding guidelines and regulatory changes
Qualifications
- 2+ years of medical billing experience in a clinical setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Proficiency in medical billing software (e.g., Epic, Athenahealth)
- Strong knowledge of insurance claim processes and reimbursement
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle sensitive PHI data with HIPAA compliance
