Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance
- Monitor vital signs and document patient observations accurately
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and position changes
- Support nurses with medical procedures and equipment preparation
- Maintain clean, sanitized patient environments and equipment
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
- Adhere to HIPAA and facility-specific protocols
Qualifications
- Active NYS Certified Nursing Assistant certification
- Minimum 1 year acute care or long-term experience preferred
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including weekends
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Flexibility to work in multiple units as needed
