Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rate as directed by the RN.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in electronic health records (EHR) systems, including daily care logs and incident reports.
- Assistance with Mobility: Safely transfer and assist patients in and out of beds, wheelchairs, and walkers using proper body mechanics.
- Communication: Effectively communicate changes in patient condition or concerns to the nursing staff and healthcare team.
- Hygiene & Comfort: Ensure patients are clean, comfortable, and that their environment is safe and welcoming.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current, active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Arizona.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
- Compassion: Genuine empathy and a patient-first attitude are essential.
