Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, reporting any abnormalities.
- Mobility Support: Safely assist patients with transfers, walking, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and equipment.
- Documentation: Accurately document patient care activities, behaviors, and changes in condition in electronic health records.
- Environment: Maintain a clean, sanitized, and safe patient environment to prevent infection and ensure comfort.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with the nursing team, physicians, and family members regarding patient status and needs.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to patient emergencies and follow established safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current North Carolina CNA Certification (State Exam Passed).
- Licensure: Valid CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Experience: Prior experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not always required for top candidates.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Compassion: A genuine, empathetic attitude towards patients and their families.
- Background Check: Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
