Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care: Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and grooming in a respectful and dignified manner.
  • Monitor patient health: Observe and report any changes in patient condition, mood, or behavior to the Registered Nurse (RN) or charge nurse immediately.
  • Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
  • Assistance with Medical Procedures: Support medical staff with basic procedures, wound care, and catheter care as directed.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and care logs in compliance with facility standards.
  • Infection Control: Adhere strictly to strict hygiene protocols and infection control measures to ensure a safe environment.

Qualifications

  • Certification: Current, unencumbered Texas CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) license.
  • Training: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a long-term care or hospital setting preferred.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and medical teams.
