Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including transferring them to and from beds, wheelchairs, and walkers.
- Collaborate with the nursing staff to develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each patient's needs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment, adhering to all infection control protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team regarding patient status and concerns.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by licensed nurses, following all safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license valid in the State of Tennessee.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or acute care setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Compassionate, reliable, and detail-oriented work ethic.
