Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Assist patients with mobility issues, including transferring them to and from beds, wheelchairs, and walkers.
  • Collaborate with the nursing staff to develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each patient's needs.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment, adhering to all infection control protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team regarding patient status and concerns.
  • Administer medications and treatments as directed by licensed nurses, following all safety regulations.

Qualifications

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license valid in the State of Tennessee.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a long-term care or acute care setting preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
