Responsibilities
- Provide direct personal care to residents, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance.
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist residents with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and equipment.
- Prepare and serve meals according to individual dietary requirements and preferences.
- Communicate any changes in a resident's physical or emotional condition to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist with light housekeeping and maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary living environment.
- Engage residents in social activities and provide companionship to enhance quality of life.
Qualifications
- Current and active Kansas CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) certification.
- Valid state nursing assistant license.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain.
- Previous experience in a long-term care, assisted living, or hospital setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented approach to work.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
