Responsibilities
- Provide direct personal care to patients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including walking, transferring, and using walkers or wheelchairs.
- Prepare and serve meals according to specific dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Document patient care activities accurately and promptly in electronic medical records (EMR).
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with the nursing staff and family members regarding patient status and needs.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license valid in the state of Arizona.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs safely.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
