Responsibilities
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, answering call lights promptly.
- Administer medication and treatments as directed by the registered nurse or licensed practical nurse.
- Document patient care activities and changes in condition accurately in electronic health records.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized environment for patients and visitors.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered CNA certification in the state of Arizona.
- CPR and BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Previous experience in long-term care, home health, or hospital settings preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients and equipment (up to 50 lbs) as needed.
- Compassionate nature with a patient-first attitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
