Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during restorative, orthodontic, and surgical procedures with precision and efficiency
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain strict OSHA compliance protocols
- Take and develop diagnostic dental radiographs (X-rays) with digital imaging technology
- Manage patient records and digital charting using Dentrix/EagleSoft software
- Provide chairside assistance during implant placements and cosmetic treatments
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide oxide monitoring when certified
- Oversee inventory management and supply ordering for clinical operations
- Deliver post-operative instructions and emergency care guidance to patients
Qualifications
- Accredited Dental Assistant program graduate or equivalent clinical experience
- Active Colorado Dental Assistant License and CPR certification
- 2+ years experience in general dentistry with digital radiography proficiency
- Expertise in infection control protocols and sterilization techniques
- Familiarity with dental practice management software (Dentrix preferred)
- Exceptional interpersonal skills for patient education and comfort
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Strong attention to detail with precise instrument and material handling
