Responsibilities
- Prepare patients and examination rooms for dental procedures
- Assist dentists during complex treatments using 4-handed dentistry techniques
- Take and develop dental radiographs with digital X-ray systems
- Manage sterilization protocols and infection control standards
- Document patient records using advanced dental software (Epic/Dentrix)
- Provide chairside assistance during restorative and surgical procedures
- Order inventory and maintain dental equipment functionality
Qualifications
- Accredited Dental Assistant program graduate or equivalent experience
- Current Texas Dental Assistant Radiology certification
- CPR/BLS certification (maintained annually)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software
- Excellent communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Knowledge of OSHA and dental board regulations
