Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for dental procedures and ensure comfort throughout treatment
- Assist dentists during exams, fillings, and complex treatments using advanced equipment
- Take and develop dental radiographs with precision and care
- Maintain sterile instruments and infection control protocols exceeding OSHA standards
- Manage patient records using our digital practice management software
- Coordinate treatment plans and educate patients on oral hygiene techniques
- Oversee inventory and ordering of dental supplies and materials
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Radiology certification required
- Minimum 2 years of clinical dental assisting experience
- Proficiency with digital radiography and practice management software
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and HIPAA compliance
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to calm anxious patients
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Valid CPR certification and willingness to maintain current
- High school diploma or equivalent; dental assisting degree preferred
