Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms via phone, telehealth, and in-person consultations to determine urgency and appropriate care pathways
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure timely interventions
- Document patient encounters accurately in EMR systems while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Provide education to patients regarding symptoms, treatment options, and preventive care measures
- Manage patient flow across departments while optimizing resource utilization
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and training programs
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Florida with minimum 2 years clinical experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; TNCC or ENPC preferred
- Strong triage assessment skills with proficiency in telephone screening protocols
- Excellent communication abilities with diverse patient populations
- EMR system proficiency (Epic experience highly desirable)
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in team settings
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on department needs
