Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorations, extractions, and cosmetic treatments
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision and patient comfort
- Manage infection control protocols and sterilize instruments per OSHA standards
- Prepare treatment rooms, materials, and equipment for seamless clinical workflow
- Administer patient education on post-operative care and oral hygiene practices
- Maintain accurate digital patient records using Dentrix/Eaglesoft software
- Coordinate patient scheduling and chairside efficiency
- Support front desk operations including insurance verification and billing assistance
Qualifications
- Accredited Dental Assistant certification (CODA or DANB preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in general dentistry
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Proficiency in digital radiography and imaging software
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and OSHA compliance
- Excellent chairside assisting skills for multi-procedure workflows
- Exceptional communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, team-oriented environments
