Responsibilities
- Accurately process prescriptions and maintain electronic health records via our remote pharmacy management system
- Verify insurance coverage and counsel patients on medication usage through telehealth platforms
- Coordinate with pharmacists and healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Occasionally assist with in-person prescription fulfillment at our Newark location
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance protocols and maintain strict confidentiality standards
- Participate in inventory management and quality assurance initiatives
Qualifications
- Active New Jersey Pharmacy Technician license required
- 1+ years of pharmacy technician experience in retail or hospital settings
- Proficiency with pharmacy management software (e.g., Omnicell, QS/1)
- Exceptional communication skills for virtual patient interactions
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in prescription processing
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with remote teams
- Basic knowledge of sterile compounding procedures preferred
