Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments following OSHA protocols
- Assist dentists during procedures including oral surgery, restorations, and orthodontics
- Take accurate dental impressions and expose/develop diagnostic X-rays
- Manage patient flow and ensure comfortable waiting experiences
- Implement infection control protocols and maintain HIPAA compliance
- Coordinate insurance claims and maintain digital patient records
- Train on advanced CAD/CAM systems and intraoral cameras
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or RDA certification required
- 2+ years of chairside experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software
- Strong knowledge of infection control and safety standards
- Excellent communication skills and chairside manner
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
- Nevada state radiology license (or ability to obtain immediately)
- Basic CPR/BLS certification
