Responsibilities
- Patient Care & Support: Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during patient examinations, ensuring accurate vital signs and symptom reporting.
- Clinical Procedures: Perform routine clinical tasks including phlebotomy, EKGs, and minor wound care as directed.
- Administrative Duties: Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, verify insurance information, and prepare medical records.
- Lab Coordination: Collect and process laboratory specimens accurately and in a timely manner.
- Communication: Educate patients on medications, procedures, and follow-up care instructions clearly and empathetically.
- Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and clinic protocols to ensure patient privacy and safety.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current CMA (AAMA), RMA (AMT), or MA (NCCT) certification required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting.
- Licensure: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Skills: Proficient in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and computer literacy.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a patient-first approach.
- Professionalism: Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced medical environment.
