Responsibilities
- Review and submit clean claims to insurance companies and government payers
- Verify patient demographics, insurance coverage, and eligibility
- Post payments and adjustments in EHR/billing systems
- Investigate and resolve claim denials and underpayments
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and payer-specific guidelines
- Generate monthly reports on billing performance and AR metrics
- Collaborate with clinical staff to document services accurately
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a US healthcare setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
- Proficiency in Epic, Athena, or similar EHR/billing platforms
- Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS coding
- Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail
- Experience with Medicare/Medicaid and commercial insurance claims
