Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage prescription inventory and ordering systems to maintain optimal stock levels
- Process insurance claims and verify patient coverage efficiently
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling to patients
- Maintain precise patient records and ensure HIPAA compliance
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve prescription inquiries
- Assist with compounding sterile and non-sterile preparations
Qualifications
- Active Georgia Pharmacy Technician license or certification
- Minimum 1-2 years of retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and medication safety
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., Omnicell, QS1)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
- Basic math skills for dosage calculations
